The importance of hydration first thing in the morning

The first thing I like to do when I get up is drink a big glass of water (about 12 to 16 oz) I’ve gotten in the habit of doing this each day and I think it’s a really simple thing you can do each day for your health and fitness. Since the body is mostly made up of water keeping it hydrated is important as water is important in numerous functions in the body. When you are sleeping you aren’t drinking water so after going 8 hours or so without water your body gets dehydrated and drinking water first thing in the morning helps rehydrate the body. It also is a great way to get you mentally started for the day as the brain is over 70% water and hydrating it is important for it to function optimally. It also can help flush out any toxins and help cleanse the body.
