Don't ignore the negative (eccentric) phase of an exercise

When you are training there should never been an excuse to not be able lower (the eccentric phase) the weight in strict form if you can lift the weight (the concentric). I’ve seen people be able to lift the weight through the concentric phase and then say they can’t do the negative or eccentric phase of the movement. You are anywhere from 101 % to 175 % stronger on the eccentric phase of an exercise. So if you can lift the weight in strict form doing the positive phase you can definitely perform the negative under control in strict form. If you can’t do the negative under control then the weight is too heavy or you’re too fatigued or both. #strengthtraining #strength #weightlifting #weighttraining #eccentrictraining #fitness #gym #workout #exercise #personaltrainer #lasvegas #fitnesstrainer #gymtrainer #strengthcoach #lasvegaspersonaltrainer #eccentric
